Conclusion paragraph:

It is clear, therefore, that accidents caused by the use of cell phones while driving could be reduced if every state legislature begins to take this problem seriously. Punishments to imprudent drivers would help to create consciousness about the dangers, not only for themselves but also for others. As it has been shown, many researches, cartoons and, above all, people's common sense tell us that there are some things that a driver must respect to keep their attention on the road. However, the misbehavior of some drivers would be easier to regulate if the law is well applied, to reduce nonsense accidents.

                                                 Argentinian Salad Bowl.

Bolivians, Paraguayans and Chinese immigrants are the largest groups which move to our country for labor reasons, bringing with them their cultural habits. In our country there is no much restriction about immigration. Bolivians, in their majority, have found a good job opportunity in greengroceries and, moreover, they outnumber Argentinian greengrocers. Talking about Paraguayans, they have adapted to wide variety of jobs in our country and, noticeably, they are closest to our cultural habits. Chinese immigrants, on the contrary, have moved to Argentina to set enormous supermarkets all over the country. Their culture is evidently different to our, and the majority of them seem not to care about adaptation. These groups of immigrants are increasing in our country, and we have to adapt ourselves to their cultural manners in their working environment.

In my country there are many places to visit on holidays, in the four seasons and for all kinds of interests.  For those interested in mountainous sceneries, the south is really beautiful and it offers a lot of entertainment, especially in winter season. For those people who want to lie in sunlight on the beach we offer the Atlantic Coast, in summer time. Moreover, for those people who love the river and quiet places to relax, and why not fishing, we recommend visiting our beautiful province of Entre Rios. Finally, for those people interested in the history of the country, the capital of Buenos Aires is full of magic places that are worth to be known. Argentina offers a wide variety of places to visit at any time of the year for recreational enjoyment.

Paragraph two: (my mate’s version)

In Argentina, there are plenty of different landscapes people can visit and enjoy. Metacognitive analysis:

Analyzing both paragraphs, I notice that the overall meaning does not vary at all. Anyway, in my version the topic sentence is better because it specifies what the paragraph is going to be about. On the other hand, my mate’s topic sentence does not reflect exactly what the paragraph says but it a has a global view. The election of synonyms are quite good but, maybe, we could avoid some meaningless repetition. Finally, in my topic and conclusion sentences i could include most of the elements mentioned throughout the paragraph, but in my mate’s version that is fairly incomplete.
